What's this all about?
Social Actions Tuner is a tool you can use to improve the results you get searching for volunteer and donation opportunities. It works by analyzing some examples of actions you are (or aren't) interested in, then using what it learned next time you search.
- If you haven't already, Register and create a login to Social Actions Tuner. Anyone can view and use the filters, but only you can edit the ones you create.
- Create a Filter - a search of the Social Actions database. First enter a name for it, then on the next page enter and save your search criteria.
- Once your search is saved, you should see some results. Use the green thumbs up or red thumbs down icons:
- Green means it's something you might be interested in, or that you might want to see more like it in the future.
- Red means the social action doesn't interest you.
- Click 'View Results' - On the left you'll see the filtered list of actions. Compare it to the list on the right and see if your filter has improved the results. If you like it, you can grab the RSS feed.
